I didn't say I didn't think it was great. I didn't say it was a bad car.
I think it is a technical marvel.
Only that for me it doesn't evoke any emotional response.
I am somewhat amused that such an innocuous comment has received this response.
Like I keep saying, everyone to their own choices. I am sure there are probably cars I think are great that others will not agree with.
It has received such a response because for you to comment on its “soul”, you would have to have driven it.
A car only “soul” when you feel it, when you become involved with it, i.e. when you have driven it. For you to comment on its soul yet not having driven it smacks of basing your opinion on one of Clarkson’s videos.
I understand it does nothing for you, but don’t talk about a car’s soul when you have nothing to base it on.
I can respect that, but again it is all a matter of individual opinion.
Will say that I wasn't really expecting to have to comment on any car on camera with Jeremy looking down at me when I arrived, so I admit it was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction.
Anyone want to lend me the keys to one?
LOL dak dak drivers classic war cry! to anything with more tech put into its build than what FUBARU do? evo/AYC/AWC does the driving for you electronic talent!!!! GTR/ATTESA/OTHER ASSORTED BLACK MAGIC= souless!
i can understand the drive wouldnt be as "entertaining" as understeering everywhere there is a corner, and life being "bland" not worring when a big end is about to chuck a tanty!or G/box about to get all elvis and leave the building!
dak dak driving! living a "soulful" life on the edge yooo! :P
I would quite happily add an Evo to the garage. Have driven a couple of friends ones over years and loved them.
His dak also caught on fire.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, it just so happens yours is wrong.
The 35 is one of the most exciting cars I've ever driven. Despite driving one regularly, I still get a massive thrill from something as simple as going through a round-a-bout. The 35's change of direction is unbelievable.
It's funny though, the only time I hear people make comments similar to yours is when the comment is shortly followed by "well, no, I haven't driven one". Usually people are just regurgitating the words of a journalist.
I must admit, before I had driven one, I thought I would prefer the 'raw' feel of the 32-34. I'd love to see you take a series of corners with sharp changes of direction in a 35 and then tell me it doesn't evoke any emotional response.

Gladly.
I get each car for a week. Sometimes two weeks.
Yes, I can take the cars to the RAC Driving Centre (like I'll be doing with the 1 Series M Coupe), or I have my own "track" which constitutes a few roads I know well - some members have experienced the long and short track versions.![]()
You also get some bonus point score instant challanges, just throw in lights![]()
