Depends on experience I guess. I see guys lock up bikes and see guys with abs.... not sure. Ride high powered trail and road most of my life and I don't feel confident if I can't get the ass end to slide or to slide so I can lay through bike over.
My old KTM exc would be a much faster bike than the mt09. But mt09 cheap on maintenence.
ABS on a bike is useless, in the dry if you lock the front in a straight line your not braking properly, lock it in a corner and abs wouldn't have saved you.
I've locked the front in the wet on a bike with abs and I reacted to it before the abs did.
It is much more of a hindrance then a help, leaning proper technique is a far better fail safe.
surely in a straight line brown pants/grab a handful moment an ECU will work it out faster than proper technique?
not having a go or anything..been non ABS my entire riding life. my cars have always had it and i enjoy the luxury of burying my foot as deep as it can go and letting the ECU work it out...call me lazy

I've always been told to threshold brake in cars/bikes after doing the RAC driver course, stopping distance was far less than ABS or slamming the foot down.

but then that brings us back to the shortest stopping distance in a brownstain moment....unless ure super cool the abs I dare say would do better
Only a bike I'm not so sure.
Cars have sophisticated master cylinders and you just don't have that space on a bike. Most bike abs I have been on pulse way too slow.
Learn to ride first then go abs. Even in a shit fight moment instinctively you will know what to do once you have done it enough times.
I just read that add. I've ridden sub 10k bikes with abs and you can can count the pulses.
Comparing entry level bikes with a bmw that's done it for 20 plus years and entry level bikes 20k plus is not a comparison.
