Commodore forums have zero idea and information when it comes to coilovers, so AL question.

What coilovers do I get for the ute?

Currently Looking at HSD Monopro's

Or Teins, Sport or Super Street

Now every manufacturer is specifying vastly different spring rates and I'm lost. So AL pls halp.

Not daily driver, want improved stance and performance, but want some streetability so woman doesn't whinge too much in the passanger seat. And cbf really blowing more then $2k on a set. Swaybars & diff bushings already on the way.

I running cheap XYZ coilovers in my VF ute - dont mind them at all.

Seem to be doing similar job to the Teins in the Monaro for half the price at this stage.....

The cheap mca (murray cootes) reds or blues i think would be heaps better than china junk and are about $2k from memory.

I have DMS (Drummond Motor Sport) coilovers in my ute. They are unreal but will likely be outside of your budget for a full set. I think the V8 ute racing series run DMS coilovers or at least they used to.

Don't get coilovers if the missus will whinge. There is no comfortable coilover.

Lies.

The KW V3's I had in the Z33 were comfy as hell until stiffened right up. The progressive rate springs made a massive difference, and the ride was actually softer/more compliant than OEM, when set on full soft.

I somehow doubt they do commodore fitment though, so it's kind of a moot point.

There's a set of KW V3's for sale over east so will get either those or a set of MCA's

I went to Malaga Suspension - They are reasonable coilovers in the Ute (you've driven it)

Any update? What coilovers did you get?

MCA Purple, XR (With their updated valving). 9kg springs front & rear with adjustable valving but pre set by Josh Coote after discussion about what I wanted. Cannot recommend these guys enough.

Transformed the car and coupled with Super Pro subframe void fillers and diff bushes, car gets zero axle tramp now.
