New Alfa front wing looks a bit odd. You would hope they have it right.

It is wheelbase measurements by the look of it. I thought the Ferrari 312B (The 1970 image) was a little shorter than that, but anyway.

Of note is the Lotus 79 (The 1978 ground effects car) some in at 2.74 metres, the Williams FW08 (1980) was shorter than their 1979 car, measuring 2.59 metres.

The Jordan 191 (The 1991 car shown) was only a V8 when most teams has V10's or 12's. So its 2.8 (Actually 2898mm) was short in relative terms. The MP4/6 with a Honda V12 was out to 2972mm.

In 2000 The Williams FW22 was at 3140mm (With an atmo V10).

The 2007 Ferrari shown (although it could be a McLaren its really hard to tell) was 85mm longer than the 2006 car, at 3135mm.

Anyway the current regulation cars are huge by historical standards.
