Ve series 2 Afm lifter noise

So I have a ve series 2 with afm recently it sounds like a lifter has stuck.
It is rattling hard at the moment so need to work out what to do.
Since I'm uneducated in the realm of Ls motors I'm just wondering what options I have and what things I need to look out for.

It's a daily so not looking for a heap of hp.

Try a lifter free additive with the next oil change.

if its ticking. its already fucked. warranty job. or your gonna need to change it out asap or the cam lobe will be rooted too.

then you might as well do cam upgrade
