Bart usually has his shop in the back of his truck ready for such things, slipping Bart !

Haha, not Barts fault! the car had other dramas later in the day after the brake issue was well and truly sorted by a set of HC800 pads!

Awesome day, thanks to you guys for having the organisation well sorted and everyone who volunteered, ran really well with plenty of track time considering teh number of cars (good variety of cars too!)

Had to do stopwatch timing but got a few 54.6's without pushing too hard so pretty happy with that

Great to hear everyone had a good time! Was pretty full-on trying to manage 58 cars, however we got through the sessions pretty quickly which meant most people were able to get at least 3-4 sessions in before lunch time.

Really cool to see these events being highly supported now. Was a tough slog for a while there but now we are getting consistent 40+ cars per event we can start to look at consistently doing 4-5 events per year.

Another awesome event guys!! I managed a 52.2 which i am pretty happy with for an old rear leaf spring banger

    I have a suggestion however:
Considering the amount of people that put their hands up at "never driven on this track before" Maybe send them out for the sighting lap as usual then suggest they jump in passenger seats with guys in the Left lane first.
that way they get to see the track at speed and can get some pointers before heading out in their own cars.

    Just a thought.

I will try post a couple of my "hotlap" vids in here

That's a pretty good idea! Would happily suggest that in the next drivers briefing and maybe we can start with the middle or fast lanes first so those guys get an idea of what the track should feel like.

Car performed well. No idea how long that will last.
The spin out was awesome... I knew I was close on each lap where the tyres were squalling more and more and I thought.... it's got to let go on this lap for sure.
The when it did I thought fuck I am carrying some speed, that wall is close so I hooked the wheel right hard to wash off as much speed as possible
(I think Garry counted 2 and a half spins) then I was smashing it down gears (Sequential Box) picked first and smashed out a half doughnut
out of the gravel (light throttle so I don't get bogged) - got past Garry's corner - got the thumbs up and away I went for another lap. At that point
I thought "where is everyone" ?

    The best fun!

The GoPro doesn't really show how loose your car was. Looked way more impressive in real life. Nice save!

Battling that RX2 at the end of the day was definitely the highlight of my day.

Seemed to be unparalleled for luxurious impression for your date night? How did you explain to the chick the car wasn't your's after all? When you couldn't find reverse? In what appeared to be a lack of performance on your part?
