Get some of that cleaning solution (can't remember exactly what to use) to remove the 'R33 spec' front lights. Should help clean it up even more

when i had the e85 tune sean pulled it off the dyno after a couple of 20 psi runs cause the temp was starting to climb .... suspect head gasket/ lifting heads causing the coolant system to pressurize .....

no surprise sean and nick nailed the diagnosis and the motor came out a few weeks later to find this

so as a lil bit of assurance against it happening again my arp200 studs came out and a set of 625+ fitted instead

a set of subaru genuine mLs gaskets replaced the cosmetic ones that i pulled out

and all back in and running

getting the car ready to start doing a the mc motorsport sprint series ..

picked up some dunlop direzza 03g 245/45r18

gave them a test on sunday and entered the rac club sprint event very last minute . I have a set of Winmax pads in transit so i had to use my mystery spec pads that came with my brembo's (hawk something).

After watching back the one video that actually worked can see my self so much room for improvement and across the day i did drop 11 seconds after my 4 goes plenty more to improve on but its all about seat time .. this was the first time I've driven on r comps so that was a world of difference alone .

i have discoverd a few minor mods i need to make ready for the 28th . After the second lot of laps my clutch fluid over heated and went all spongy on me. gunna have to up the heat rating on it and add some heat shielding to it .. the dump pipe and rear housing sits directly under the master cyl so not good heat soak

Small update ... It's booked in on the 31st for a retune finish the e85 map now that the head gasket is all fixed .. It's having a 4 bar map sensor fitted as the current one doesn't read past 22.7 psi and that's just not enough ... Will post results of how it goes

Also I did my 3rd day out at rac this time was a wa sprint series round and the same layout as the post above I managed to shave another 11 seconds off that best lap time .. My tyres however are way past expiry so the 4 lap out was very slippery and I understeered off at the hair pin .. Whoops oh well managed to get it back on course and only drop in time was the time penalty

I have been tweaking my launch control the last few times I've been out there and found a happy spot that builds about 5/6 psi and takes off quite nicely .. Tryna find the balance of wheel spin and bogging down has been a pain

Here's one of the launches I didn't quite hold 1st long enough before going second but gets moving rather well
