What's the go with batteries to existing solar panel installs? I have seen Tesla are bringing some out at the end of the year apparently. Are they out in the market at a reasonable price these days? Keen to get some so power outages etc are a thing of the past.

Whilst the technology is improving it still doesn't offer a reasonable payback period so you won't seem them installed in domestic homes. I would estimate it'll be around 5 years before the price and lifespans of the batteries are both good enough to install on small scale solar.

Pm sent , after a few years delay mate I'm ready to go with a small sized unit as we discussed, our bills haven't changed so I'm happy to go with a new quote an install asap
Had mine installed Wednesday and very happy.
Jazza is awesome to deal with and goes above and beyond. the install was quick, neat and the guys actually think about the design when on site and recommend changes if necessary.
Only effort i made was to apply for the interest free and pick a date for install, Jazza handled all the approvals, paperwork etc.
Now to sit back and enjoy the benefits
One of our customers recently sent in their Synergy bill after installing a 4kW system. I think they are pretty happy!

We are averaging a 48% reduction in bill since installing the system Jazza

but their bill last year for the same time period was only slightly more than this bill
Because they didn't have someone at home full time last year. Their new average usage was reflected in the bill for the previous month so you can imagine how happy they are now not having to worry about increased bills

Yes you're correct, on this bill the solar system would have contributed to around $400 in savings. The other ~$170 would be due to their own usage patterns.
Over the year his system could save him up to $2k depending on export amounts and if the 7% electricity price rise comes into effect on July 1.

After getting a 5kw install done by Jarryd beginning of Sept last year, we went from a $425 bill with my missus working from home 2 days a week, to $123 with her running a hair salon 6 days a week at home AND running our 14kw a/c most days all day with the warmer weather. Super impressed.
Had jazza's guys install a 5.46kw system early October, got my first bill with all the days being with the solar just before Christmas. Previous bill $425 (had 11days with solar of the 61 plus $20 credit from solar so would've been higher), December bill $23
Merry Christmas to me hahaha
That includes Mrs home all day with our newborn

i have a 4.2 Kw system that makes 26Kwhr a day currently. Last bill a month ago said I was $480 in credit, but my 14Kw aircon will be eating in to that - will still get thru summer without paying a bill tho
Hi Jazza,
I Currently have a 3KW (solar gain install) system on my north facing roof. id like to expand this system by potentially adding another 2-3kw on the West facing roof to capture the afternoon sun.
what sort of options are best viable to achieve this?
Das Auto - MY14 MK7 Golf GTI
I know it's probably a "how long is a piece of string question" but what does a 4kw or a 5kw setup cost?
My electricty bills are quite low, not sure how people here have 500/600 dollar bills as we definetely don't try and save power. We have PC's, TV's running a lot of the day, evap running through summer and fans going most of the year. 3 people living in the house? last bill $142.90 and previous to that $157.25 (next one should be higher as we've had two people at home for the last month but still)
What's it cost to get someone to come out and actually see if our system is even doing anything or put on the correct power wires (we have 3 phase) coz we don't think ours is doing jack shit. We've had it for 2 years now, but we still get like 300-400 bills and there is only me and my old man here.
obviously we have a large shed etc but it's not like we are in it every day/night.
So our current bills are around $185 but we have just bought a spa and I can see the bill going through the roof. Could you give me a price estimate on a system that would offset our original bill. Our average daily units usage on that bill were around 7.4 so not huge.
^^^ I would say you would definitely get some "surge pricing" from your spa.... you ready to get some karma....
