This thing owes me $15 so far (had to put some fuel in it to get home)
Plus the rego I'm paying today

Might need to start looking for some parts... like tail lights and bumpers

The VT Wagon was starting to get unreliable after i put the supercharged combo in it, after much whinging from the mrs i bought her a new car.

Adventra LX8 Wagon. Have absolutely no use for the AWD but being clubsport/calais optioned by standard with heaps of other cool things it was a no brainer

As a uni student, a corn fed R33 isnt very economical or affordable (especially spending most of its time in traffic). So, my daily which carts me to uni and to work druing the week is a 1991 Ford Festiva (cant afford much else when trying to get a degree and it was cheap). Unfortunately the standard 1.3 carb with the 4hp or what ever it makes was, well rubbish. So I got bored and needed to make it a bit more exciting. So I swapped a 1.8L BP + T into it. We took a N/A motor out a BA 323 and slapped it in, did all the generic conversion stuff for the turbo (modded sump, changed intake, change injectors, BPT ecu out of a KH tx3), put a hks2530 on it. Only runs 10psi atm as the wastegate is rooted, but weighs just over 800kg so it goes alright for a daily.

Just incase someone is keen to see how it goes here is a video from powercruise last year. I broke my 33 two days out from powercruise so just chucked the daily in instead as I had already paid, was a good laugh. Actual racing starts at like 30 seconds.

Oh mad, you will understand the pain of how slow they actually are with those little 1.3's haha. I use to own a ford laser that we converted to turbo, and that was stickered because I was stupid and made it ricey and obvious. Then we saw that the festiva's B3 engine had near enough to identicle mounting points as the BPT so we were like sweet lets throw one of those in there. Safe to say its a bit more punchy, also the lack of powersteering and LSD means it occasionally changes lane on its own accord if you arent paying attention.

Haha yeah the poor little car got an absolute beating that weekend. I was struggling with coolant temps (thus why the front bumper was off) but she went strong all weekend and didnt miss a beat. Yeah shocked so many people haha, a lot of people laughed when I rocked up (as you would) but yeah a few sad faces haha especially when they found out it was my car to get me to uni and back. I was sad when my little brother beat me, wished I could have wound the boost up a little haha.

Picking up this piece of classic motoring tonight.

    Farm truck/bush basher/dog carrier/occasional daily.
Roo bar will be useful for knocking over the parrot bush and the tow bar will allow me to tow my dual axle trailer no probs.
Added bonus that I am moving house in a couple of months so it'll get well used.
For a 93 model with 110k on the clock it's in great condition, it's a bit of a time warp. I had an ex-rac inspector go over it for piece of mind and he reckons he hasn't seen one this good for a decade.

    Go the mighty AU !

Factory C2R kit with the C2R seat option.
Stock inline 6 with headers. Petrol and LPG
    Faded ford paint.

Picked it up for a good price, will either tidy and sell on or turbo it for laughs

    picked up a 2008 BL9 gen 4 Liberty as a runabout/small project.

so far got a gt front crossmember, ordered some china headers, made an up pipe to fit, td04l, tapped sump for oil return.

have a few parts stock piled from older projects from over the years, which is the reason I thought I would give it ago, been good to get my mind off things that had happened over the last 3 months.

got a few flanges laser cut and getting ready to start the dump.

up pipe made and wrapped. Trying to shoot through the silly gap makes these things look like a worm, can't buy up pipes for the single cam.

china headers, and can see the hardline for oil return. Crossmember and all the suspension is now bolted back in and everything sitting happily.

    Pete.

apart from having the coilpack wiring out, it all runs, drives, flutters along. been driving it after work for a couple of weeks now, seems to be ok at 4 psi.

next thing is to pull the heads off for the shit ass headgaskets they had fitted at OEM, and change to STI gaskets or some sort of MLS.
