Trek are very good at making road bikes, not a fan of there mountain bikes but that is alot different!

In terms of finding where to buy the bike from, you have to remember the bikes themselves are all exactly the same (construction in store a little different, but component wise, its the same stuff) but its the after sales service that you need to find.

Best to go to a few stores, speek to the blokes in the workshop, find out what kind of riding they do (90% of people who work in a bike shop will ride in one way or another) and then work out who you think will most likley be able to help you out in the future.

I rode one of the porsche bikes - very nice.

Also - Trek make fantastic MTBs .... Trek Fuel EX 8/9 have won many awards... as has the Remedy.

Holden made a bike for one of the statesmans, where it folded up and sat under some thing.

I'm chasing 1 Redline/Mongoose crank arm, for a set of 3 piece BMX. my little cousin got given a mongoose but in bits, got most of it together, just need a crank arm. My late model redline arms are exactly the same, but this bmx has mongoose stamped all over it, so i don't care what brand, or what side drive it is. either side will be fine. this is what the arm looks like that bolts onto the bb

if anyone has 1 laying about please lemme know !

If I recall, they sold for at least $6k or something.

You can get a normal production bike from Giant or the likes with the same components or better for $2k!

rexhunta - hit up ebay if you want something cheap. Bear in mind that you may have to buy as a pair, or just get a whole new crankset.

yeah i've been keeping an eye out on there, and on farkin/rotorburn.

only only for something he's going to pretty much trash, so trying to keep it down. If it comesw to new cranks i'll just hand it back hehe/
