my dad is having trouble with his gears on his specialized. he mainly uses it for road and it wont go into 3rd properly. if the cable is tightened so it goes into 3rd correctly, it rubs when in 1st and 2nd.
anyone know a good shop that can fix it up? the place he got the bike from in malaga is shit and cant do it.
cheers
Got myself a KMart special couple of weeks ago:
Got it half price for 250 bucks!! :boink: Quite good value for money, has front disk brake, full alloy frame with adjustable rear suspention, shockies in the front suspension, 21 speed shimano tourney gears with v brake shifters etc...
Why?
well im not sure what ur planning on doing with it but i you were to take it down hilling i cant imagine it would last too long
Why? Coz it's a Kmart special?
yep
Hahaha, will make down hilling just that much more exciting!! Might have to wear my motorcycle helmet for that one, I'd like to keep my teeth in tact haha. I've taken it on a rough ride already it seems to be holding up ok...
dyno used to be not that bad back in the bmx days, were made by GT, dunno bout quality nowadays...
Well, the quality did stand out heaps among the rest of the Kmart bikes, if that says anything... I think this was the most expensinve bike on sale at Kmart when I went. TIme will tell...
you dont buy a reliable bike from Kmart!!!
I havent been up goat farm in a while last time i went it was hell dusty and sandy was hard to c anythin and the burms were all scrubbed out.
Mt Gunjin is still my fav place to ride
Got this bad boy 95% complete, just waiting on some small things to finish it then going to change some parts to strip some weight off it...cant wait to take it for a good ride!
since this thread has been bumped back up
here is the completed product
built from frame up, while I havent added it up I dont think i have any change from 8k
My STP Pro... took it out to the hills yesterday! Money well spent!
The bike above looks awesome! not a dually fan though

any of you guys know anyone competing at the downhill world champs in canada? my old trady qualified 11th in aus and almost beat sam hill, was 3 seconds in front of him until he spilt it on a corner only kjust recovered to scrape in. over there now to try and get a top 3 placing.
he use to live in mundaring and pretty much made most of the tracks up that way. his name is stuart macdonald. anyone know him?
Throwing everything in the 'fuck it' bucket.
does any one know how good kona stinky's are my got one cheap as fuck has hydraulic brakes and flash shit like these bikes do you guys have any info on them ???
ok sorry i thought they were in canada as thats where he was when i last spoke to him, at rotarua last year 90% sure he came 3rd in elite, maybe the next class down.
late last year im not sure on the details but he was infront of sam hills time by just under 3 seconds (coming first) one of the last corners he went in too flat and slid out, losing 5 seconds roughly.
i wouldnt post up bullshit.
and just for bullshit factor his bike is insured for 9k.
Throwing everything in the 'fuck it' bucket.
