Fuck yes.
If I scratch the living piss out of my frame I'm dropping it off to you lol.
So good.
lol rex....I got it done by R&L Powder Coaters in Osborne Park for $120 (including sand blasting). It's a tough choice when you have over 200 colours to choose from.
A small addition
goddamn, i wish i had money to spend on bike bling!
formula oro k18s ... 400 for a full bolt on set
lol the clamp was only $30 + a few $ postage. Ti bolt as well.
Hope brakes are where it's at for bling....and don't forget to upgrade the lines for some Goodridge braided ones
New Velo saddle. Lot more Comfier then the standard Specialized Velo.
Got this Specialized Fatboy Hemi Comp the other day, just been sanding it back this morning, about to go get some orange paint and give it a spray.
Now all i need is a donor bike to get the rest of the parts it needs like rims handlebars etc.
Thomson seatpost and Raceface Evolve 'Limited Edition' bars arrived today
Pics soon.
thats sweet as! where did she get it??
lost my license just recently, so thought id get back into ridin, so i put some cash down on this few weeks back, slowly payin it off haha, 09 i believe colony descendant, frames light as fuck, cant wait to get out n give it a burn.
been lookin at gettin a bike i can ride to work n back (only beckenham to maddington n back) as well as go for a burn at goatfarm n shit like that, are there any types of bikes which can do both? or is it just better to get one for each?
Do any of you bike gurus know where I can source a 24 inch or 26 inch BMX Cruiser from and what it may set me back?
I want to cruise a tough bike on the street for a little fun and I like to work hard on a bike - gears aren't really necessary.
I need the bigger frame for my size btw.
I like the idea of a BMX rather than a dirt bike or am I making a mistake?
One thing I want is a seat I can actually sit on and ride at the same time too.
Cheers,
Jordan
Maybe a Giant STP converted to single speed or a Norco Ryde.
I am with you OlSkool, reliving my BMX Bandit days.....unfortunately it's come with a couple of broken collar bones as you hit a bit harder as you get older
BMX will come in two sizes, 20" or 24". The 26" is 'old school' and pretty rare. If you are looking for a new bike, Redline do a Proline for around $800 or their full race bike (Flight Series) for around $1400. Second hand ones for about half that.

I would recommend speaking to Ellis at George's Willetton, top bloke.
This old BMX Bandit hitting up the first straight at the Worlds held in Adelaide earlier this year
^^^^
Looking good mate!
Intense facial expression too
You must be pretty serious racing and all.
I looked at those links and that Redline looks the shit!
This is more in my budget though, is it any good guys?

I am worried that the seat may be too low on the others and I do want to cruise on the bike every now and then.
I want the bigger frame because I will just look stupid on a 20" frame.
I feel like buying myself a christmas present
There is also this, on sale too but no details on the components:

Oh yeah, I will go and checkout George's Bike Shop too.
I have heard good things about them.
Cheers for that!
Update:
Kronos Gold top cap - I purchased a red anodised one for another little project, then saw the gold and could not resist
Race Face Evolve 690mm bars - Much lighter, 50mm wider than the existing bars - and I notice the difference!
Thomson Post - Engineering and Machining goodness!
As a result I have shed a little more weight off the bike. Not sure how much - still awaiting some scales to arrive. Still need a Thomson stem to match the post
Olskool, either the Intense or Felt look like a good buy. That green hurts my eyes though
Here's some specs on the Felt http://www.beyondbikes.com.au/index....oducts_id=1147
Both are great bikes for getting out on a track or just hopping kerbs. Don't let these MTBikers convince you otherwise
As for seat height, grab yourself a quick release seat clamp for when you tire of manuals & bunnyhops.
BTW, intense facial expression...or just plain shitting myself!
BMX's are for kids
I'll put this out here for anyone interested....
I am currently putting together an order at CRC. I am at $357 at the moment. Just $103 remaining to qualify for free delivery.
I will be finalising this order on Monday night (14th Dec) around 9pm.
If anyone requires something, please let me know by posting direct link to item along with size/colour/quantity (if applicable). I would appreciate an email as well - dmwill@gmail.com
Payment can be sent to me via Direct Deposit. I prefer this method and can email you payment details.
Alternatively you can pay me in person upon collection of goods. I am located in Kingsley. Work in Osborne Park.
Also note that I am paying this via Paypal via my Bank Account so payment will take a few days to clear before the order is shipped, hence it may take 10-15 days to arrive.
Damnit !!
i should actually check the other sections of htf lol.
+1 I'm in for some stuff from CRC if anyone else wants to put an order together.
Im going to be needing a bike soon. To ride too and from work.. about 9km all up.
What would be the best option for a large guy? Mountain ?
a n t i l a g . c o m
It really depends, (I'm probably biased here), but I would say Mountain. More practical and comfortable.
Giant bikes generally offer the best bang for buck. Check out TBE in Ozzie Park, Belmont or Claremont, they have a huge range on show.
Those of you who missed out on the CRC order, I'll more than likely do another towards the end of Jan/early Feb. Will keep you posted. Sorry about the short notice - I wanted to clear it asap in the hope it will arrive before the end of the year. Somehow I don't think that will be happening though. Postage from UK at Xmas time FTL.
