Logos on tyre should still line up with the valves :P

I've always done it, just because. But I've been told it's so you can locate the valve quicker if needed during a race.

also helps if you get a puncture, can easily find the position in the tyre that corresponds with the puncture in the tube, and make sure the culprit isn't stuck in the tyre

Looks like he has possibly tightened his brake clamp too hard?.... fuck carbon bars, that's always been my fear. Just smashed on a set of 780mm 38deg Renthal FatBars ... . holy shit they are wide LOL.

If he needs some bars to get by let me know - I have my Spank Royala's lying around (gold) in 740mm 20 or 30 rise

What Marc said - probably over tightened the brake clamp.

You need a decent torque wrench if you're going to have carbon parts.

yea i agree prob overtighten clamp .. but he is aware of over tighten and said he didnt think he over tighten , althou didnt use a torque wrench .. he has had these bars on the bike for over a year .. but he weighs 60kgs and obviously my fat 72kg was too much for it ..

and the funny thing was we wer busting out some 3-4meter jumps just minutes before ..

Just get a decent shop to face everything again - headtube, BB shell, disc brake mounts, seat tube, bearing seats, dropouts, etc.

Mine is power coated (it's quick and cheap). Copped a few chips here and there from hard hits/falls, but it's a mountain bike...Meh.

So... I think my rear shock is fucked.

On rebound from compression it makes a horrible clunk, like there is 10mm of free play and then the rebound compression kicks in... anyone else experienced this?

anyone want a sunline V1 travelguide?

i bought the wrong size, this suits up a 40T ring.

    LOL dickhead.

    Buy a MRP 1x

Got my shock out, sending it off to NS Dynamics for a full rebuild and custom tune.... managed to put a dent right at the bottom of the shaft though, so I hope they dont say I need a new one

ugh. they obviously sent the lollies cause their brake fittings are wrong.

anyone ordering fittings for formula brakes (mine are formula RX) check the thread pitch. mine use a coarse thread, not fine like supplied.

Why did you buy new compression nuts anyway?

Think the SLX is just missing the Freestroke (contact) adjustment....means SFA to me.

I tried a few brakes at an LBS on Sat arvo...Shimanos have a totally different lever feel to Avids...which I kinda expected...but they felt good. I'm sold.
