Not sure if I got a good deal for $600 but it rides quite well. Going to fix it tomorrow.
just finalizing this to meet me on the gold coast when i move next month.
....now to buy a shitload of green anodized bits, like i did with the hardtail and red anodized parts.
mitchy that thing looks killer
Love those Commencals.
FYI, those Crossride wheels are great till they need rebuilding. New bearings and freehub body replacement on mine cost as much as a new pair from CRC!
Anyone want a Maxxis Ignitor UST tyre? Have a 2.35" one here, used on KC half a dozen times. Still looks new. Retail ~$80, CRC ~$50. Make an offer before I throw it on ebay
It's a better deal when you find out how much Mitchy ended up getting it for!
Gripper on Rotorburn has green ano parts !! http://www.rotorburn.com/forums/show...reen-Ano-Stuff
Do tell (if that's cool)....not that I can afford a new MTB anyway
Walked into Liberty Bikes this morning.
Almost walked out with this thing, I was so taken by it.. but if any more money disappeared from our house account I know that I'd lose my balls.
Niner SIR9 - 29'er hard tail, made from Reynolds 853 steel. HHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG.
So damn light too.
So i've been walking past my fully built jump bike and my dh bike now for about 2 years. None of my friends ride anymore and so I lack motivation. I'm keen to go ride park/street/bmx tracks/dirt/downhill if anyone is still in it and riding will also help me stay fit and save some cashola. If anyone rides still pm me!
well.... it was going to be $1100 posted to the gold coast, but he's obviously had second thoughts at the bargain of a price 15 minutes ago and reneged on the deal just as i was about to send the monies.
oh well. i was telling marc i was going to wait until i was on the gold coast before i bought a 26" dualy anyway, that was just too good a deal to pass up!
on another note. anyone know where to buy Niner parts? namely their sexy rigid carbon forks?
i want to put a set on the 29'er now i'm buying a second bike.
white and carbon, drool.
What a fucking dog act! I bet someone offered him $100 more or something.
Niner - Liberty Bikes in Dianella, speak to Dave.
No offence Joe but after you're first ride of a trail with that bike and you won't want to come out again.
For the type of rider that you are.. *and I have no doubt the flaming will follow* you need to get yourself a dually.
Having ridden both types (hard/soft tail) and still being fairly unfit, you will simply not enjoy the riding the hard tail as much as you would on the dually (can get QUALITY 2nd hand bikes for cheaper than that hard tail). Try not to incorporate road bike/fixie/hipster idealisms when it comes to the trail stuff.
This is what Joe needs
