3 days before I flew out to NZ I think Garmin will cover it under their fixed price service, but I have emailed to check. If not I'll keep it and trawl ebay for a dead battery 705 and buy an Edge 510 in the meantime. I never use the maps anyway.

Coming along nicely.. just need to upgrade the stem, bars and seatpost to Nitto, and get my pedal straps and leather grips to match the saddle, and I think it'll be pretty much done!

Hmmm, something not right with the rear wheel on the Reign....lots of play. I checked the cones/locknuts the other week when cleaning. Hopefully it's just that and not a snapped axle.

Either those or the ones made from stacked leather washers.

QR skewer ? I have some spares if you need one. Could also be hub bearings.

I have come to the conclusion ... changing rims is a fucking expensive task to save 500gr!

    Rims - $165
    Spokes + Nipples - $288
    Labour - $120

Not so keen to drop 500gr anymore!

I hated the Formulas. Shimano XT's are the business. Elixir1 are spongy, they are cheap brakes!

Took a gamble and bought some mtb shorts online which didnt pay off (they dont fit)

they are Royal Race in XL. Colour = ash. im around a 38-40" so would imagine these would fit someone around the 34-36" mark

    Sapim CX-Race

Thinking about building a "race" wheelset

Hope pro 2 hubs, ZTR Crest front wheel, ZTR ArchEX rear wheel, DT Revo spokes - should get them for under $400 landed.
