Hey guys
Just about to do my first service on my fg xr6t ute and just wandering what engine oil to use.? In previous turbo cars i have had and used penrite hpr 15 so was going to go with that . I was also at ford today asking this question but all they could tell me to use is there ford branded oil, wasn't to keen on that.

Castrol Edge 0/40 is what I was recommended to use in my old F6.
HPR 15 seems way too thick if you ask me.

Yeah I use Edge 0w-40, XFT use it and it's done me well. 180,000km and still going strong in my BFII.

Probably most important is frequency of changes, 5000km is a good number, 7500 at most is the general consensus. 7500 for me due to daily driving so many highway kms. If it was a weekend warrior it would be 5000 no problems.
Yer I always aim for Every 5k. Only gets driven every 2nd week.
