Hey guys Well I was driving home today from work and I noticed that my Aristo did not seem right, I was traveling at 100km/h on the freeway and I could feel the car losing acceleration intermediately. I checked the revs and it was not reflecting the acceleration loss though when I checked the boost gauge I could see the needle moving up and down slightly (like wiggling lol) pretty much matching power loss feel at the same time. Hey guys, My Ca18det Had been miss-firing and idling off for a while, i eventually put it down to the inlet manifold gasket, after replacing coilpacks with splitfires. while the inlet was off i thought it would be a good idea to fit a Sard FPR, once all back together and the fuel base pressure set to standard 36-38psi she started without any problems.. and idled fine, but under boot the missfire returns with a nice big cloud of unburnt fuel out the exhaust. :mad: Has anyone had any...
It started about 2 weeks ago, My knock level was starting to peak higher than usual ( 40 - 50 ) Then i gave it some love down a straight road, Knock level reached 60 and minutes after a dirty miss fire appeared and this is what i found. Not cool, So i brought some new plugs, Gapped them blah blah & the miss fire was gone but the knock level was still reasonably high, So i rang ASG and drove it down there... Morning. Looking to buy some v-band clamps and adapters but having never used them I need a bit of schooling. 1. Has anyone used the type available on ebay? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151190402800 2 . Will the above mentioned clamps fit on my garrett gtx rear housing? or are they slightly different? 3. Do v-bands seal as good a normal flanges? 4. do the stainless ones come apart easy once they have been heat cycled. Cheers
Hi guys, I am considering buying a peugeot 206 gtI, with intentions of converting it to awd and doing a power plant like the old rally cars, the problem I am having is after 2 days searching google I have found nothing helpfull, Does anyone know of a shop in perth that can covert the car to awd, using a doner awd car for example evo or gtir or something along those lines any advice on who to talk to would be greatly appreciated the build budget at this stage is around 30,000. Dec 2009 build ford territory rwd 4 speed auto. Today after just 47,000 Km's there in a noise that sounds a bit like cardboard in bike wheel spokes but much quieter coming from the tranny. Anyone had this before? Does it in 1st and 4th, but does go away, but from what I can tell so far it seems to be here to stay.. No fluid leaks or slipping gears. Not what I need right now! Cheers

Heyo, Going to be replacing all my studs, nuts and bolts on my Turbo manifold, dump etc. Is there much point in going inconel (or A286)? On paper they are the obvious choice, but, not sure if they are worth 10x what standard class 8.8 are worth.

So probably need to look at an upgrade in injectors to futureproof the honda. Apparently they run pretty much 100% duty cycle at redline from the factory, they are only 240cc @ about 48psi. Looks like the best options are FIC or Injector Dynamics. Have heard that the latter are quite good, smallest size I can get is 785cc - apparently they are so good this shouldnt be an issue with the low duty cycle i'd need - may be slightly higher if i tune for E85 down the track. the FIC's are...

Just wondering if anyone has used a turbo scavenge tank before on a low mount turbo setup usually on a bike or porsche motor. I want to know if any benefits would be had from having an extra fitting and line to the crankcase to create some extra vacuum created from the scavenge pump. Or if i should just leave it as closed system for simplicity? I.e the turbo drains to the tank, condenses and just gets sucked out.
hi guys , im looking at the precision 5554 turbo on the net because iv found them for a reasonable price , it would be too suit sr20 application but i cant find any info on the net , what there making power wise or what i can compare it too in the GT range, if i would be better off with a garrett turbo or the precision has any advantages, does anyone know much about this turbo?
