Lift kits 'n shit.
Hey pingpingpingpings.... Show us your bombed 4X4's n' Shit.
So I need to pull my finger out over the xmas/ny break and put some effort into making my Triton a bit more camping friendly for some trips next year as summer backs off. Has anyone made a tub rack and wished they did something different/better/etc. What gauge SHS did you use? I'm currently thinking of making a main rear hoop of something like 50x25x2-2.5 RHS and running two lengths up to the factory tray head and bolting it on there. Build out the rest with 25x25x2ish SHS. I have...
Getting ready for my next set of tyres and I'm tossing up between the following - Toyo Open Country A/T 2 - BFG KO2 Any opinions, reviews or experiences with these tyres? Or any other decent A/T's for that matter. Cheers
Hey, Needing to know if theres any good garages in Welshpool/Queens park area that can do recondition engines.. Ive got a 2007 navara D40 185k on the clock, head gasket has went on it and I'm sure a valve has too as there was a serious chapping noise coming from the engine :( I've been quoted from a garage in Bentley $5500
I know theres one of these for daily drivers but put this here anyway. 2006 ML Triton V6
So, the basics - it's a twin-turbo 2.0-litre four-pot turbodiesel. 157kW and 500Nm. https://www.suvauthority.com/2787/ford-ranger-raptor-specifications/ Price is said to be almost $80K. Ouch.
I'm in the market for a sub 10k 4WD daily as the GTR is far too loud, obnoxious and expensive to drive all the time. And the loaner car i've been using everytime it goes in to get fixed will soon not be available to me any more. I've been swaying towards TD42 Gq patrols. Is it worth the extra to find a turbo one? Will i still be paying toyota tax in this price range?
Hey all, I have no idea about 4wds let alone diesel 4wds. I have seen a 2007 Patrol DX for sale. $17,000 manual and with quite a few extras. 3.0L TDi. It has done 286,000km. Is this too high? Things I should look out for? Should I steer clear?
G'day... Friend has a 2007 UZJ100 and wants to do some mods to it. Was told that extractors make a huge difference to them and after I had a look at the factory manifolds I can see why they would, the only thing done to his Cruiser now is some aftermarket hiflow cats and a 3" catback. He got quoted almost $3,000 to install the extractors, I can see it's a shit job with little room to move but they quoted 8 hours labour, supply Pacemakers, supply new cats and 4 new O2 sensors. He just got...
Hi guys, I’m removing the rear seats from my SWB Pajero and want to install a draw system and fridge slide setup. Obviously there won’t be an off the shelf product to meet my needs so I’m going to have to go custom or modify an existing set. With weight being very important, is there a brand that is widely regarded as the lightest? Can anyone also recommend a professional place to have a custom job done in Perth? Cheers
Hi fellas I'm in need of a second opinion for a auto tranny specialist to look over my 80 series cruiser with the 1hdft / a422f combination. Any recommendations? Cheers
I'm still not sold on the looks of this thing (and who knows how reliable it will be long term) but there's no doubting its off-road prowess. https://www.suvauthority.com/1206/2018-land-rover-discovery-hse-sd4-review/
We headed up to the Powerlines with a new Sport recently. Here's how it went. https://www.suvauthority.com/1514/2018-range-rover-sport-sdv6-hse-review/
http://perthoffroadpromotions.com.au/?page_id=702 Entry forms and car regs are up, come down to Manji and have some fun. They've opened Extreme up to 37s + twin locked this year, modifieds are still 33s and single locked, but beware of the Suzuki brigade ! We're doing our entry, slightly modified tracks this time, but from what we've been told still good for the SWB and smaller cars. Pete.
Hi Im looking at getting my Toyota Fortuner lifted in the next couple of weeks and am looking for first hand info on suspension setups. Ironman foam cell pro shocks are fairly cheap, and have some decent reviews online, but ive been told years ago to avoid anything ironman. ANyone using their kit and can comment on what its like? If i dont go them, im looking at TJM or outback armour, but obviously more expensive meaning less cash for other things (looking at underbody protection and side...
Looking at picking up an led lightbar to use as a reverse/camp light on my shorty. From what I understand 10W LED's are the go - is there anything else I should be looking out for? Something like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5-INCH-20W-CREE-LED-WORK-LIGHT-BAR-1720LM-SPOT-OFFROAD-LAMP-UTE-SE-KILL-10W-15W-/330884459056?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d0a402a30
Hey, I want to turbo my 100 series Landcruiser with a 1HZ 4.2L diesel engine. Just want something mild, saw this kit on GCG which looks good: https://gcg.com.au/diesel-performance/diesel-2/turbocharger-upgrades-kits/toyota-landcruiser-100-105-series-1hz-turbo-kit-intercooled-detail But I am after a good shop to install it. Live in Queens Park, but can travel. Please let me know what you suggest.
As the title says im looking for the best place to get some draws made up for the back of my Ranger dual cab, prices seem to differ greatly from place to place and most 4x4 shops send them to someone else to get done.
Anyone know who owns this awesome conversion, it is in WA, i saw a youtube video of it. want some info on the hook lift conversion on the back.
I am looking at buying a new camper trailer and would like to hear peoples opinions on whatever is out there. I have a wife and 3 kids that will need to fit in it, a landcruiser to tow it and want to be able to take it down any track we may come across and be able to stay bush for a decent amount of time. I don't have a set budget, however I probably won't spend more than $50k. The easier to set up, the better. It's a pain in the arse spending an hour setting up after a full day of...
Alright, roll call, whose in. We're in, although this year we've stepped out of the Suzuki and gone to a TJ Jeep with an LS1 in the touring group. https://www.facebook.com/PerthOffroadPromotions/?hc_ref=SEARCH Shall be the goods, and Kirup will be interesting new course designs. Pete.
