Nikon D70s with 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5g IF-ED lens, Velbon Tri-pod and 512mb CF.
Future upgrade would be to grab hold of a 200 or 300mm lens capable of an aperture of f/2.8 (the prices of these scare the **** outta me!) and a suitable macro lens.

I use a Panasonic FZ-30 which is a fixed lens 8mp camera. The lense is equivelent of a 35-420mm lens (12x optical). I have a circular polarised 55mm filter for it and a 512mb SD card

I was goin to say AK-47 or Glock or even H&K MP5.
Just for normal everyday photos with digital camera i wouldnt use anything but sony.
For SLR digital i would go with TJ choice, nikon d70s , one day i will buy one ;)
Check the photos thread, examples there.

Good thing I don't use a Nikon. Saying that, 70-200m L series with IS isn't cheap! :(

Franz, Have you used a lens with IS? Is the focus improvement worth it?

Yes and IMO it is; especially when slowing the shutter speed down.

Canon 350D with the usual twin lens kit...in retrospect I should have got a 30D cause I do a lot of stuff at the drags but the 350D suits my needs fine really.
Check www.wadragracing.com for some stuff.
