Hey all got a bit of a problem atm with the r33 i have a few ideas but not sure exactly just wondering if anyone has had similar problems before.
Basically the car starts fine but has a a bit of a rough idle and when in neutral the revs bounce up and down between 900rpm and 500rpm.
When u drive off its fine the car boosts and drives fine but as soon as u come to a hault the revs fly down to nothing and stalls nearly everytime. It also happens if ur driving and u flick it into neutral the revs fly down and same again it will nearly everytime stall on you.
It has been progressively getting worse but before would only ever happen when the car was cold ie the first couple of stops before the engine warmed up. It seems like an air to fuel problem to me.
anyone any ideas or had this problem before???
cheers

I had a similar problem with my 32, try cleaning the AAC valve, and there is another part that I cleaned as well, im just trying to sus out what it was called... its located pretty much under the intake piping just before the throttle body.. has two hoses running into - one of which runs off a T which is also connected to the AAC valve at the back of the plenum..

will find out the name of it, and whether the 25 is the same setup as the 20..

have the exact same problem with my stato..
changed the Idle Control Vavle and played around with the idle abit too..
but apparently my larger cam hasnt been tuned to the computer so thats why its jumping around..but ive also been told it could be an air leak in the manifold

yeah could be the AAC valve or even the throttlebody its self. give them both a clean and see how u go.

think i found out the problem a small hose that goes from the intake to the side of the head near the oil cap is leaking.
will see if that works
what does AAC stand for??

Try cleaning your afm first. This more than likely will solve the problem.

If that doesn't clear it up, look at your spark plugs and have your injectors cleaned.

My 33 does the same thing for those reasons.

Hope this helps.
