Can anyone with experience confirm that this must be a box out job?
Is there a possibility of dropping the gearbox cross member/prop shaft/tailshaft and having the motor and gearbox lean back for further accessibility to the top of the transfer case?
Cheers :)

Go and have a talk with ant about repacking them. New clutches etc. Was talking to a mate yesterday and he tells me that it was well worth the money.

Not really the cost effective solution I am seeking Dan :)
As for the transfer case removal, a fellow on SAU has mentioned that it is definately a gearbox out of the car job due to the roll pin located on the top of the case that holds the selector shaft in place.
Box out it is :squint:

i think you will be able to get to them thru the hole where ya gear stick comes out.
