I think once again australia was hard done by the ref's such as viduka being held and also when cahill was held back.

Also i thought the croatians played very dirty constantly holding and tripping the australian players and also the way sumich acted with the ref was a joke and the dumb ass didnt even get off the field with a red card ...

As far as i am aware Croatia has never lost to italy in like 30 years or something and australia drawing with Croatia i would say makes them more so a favourite.

1. the croatian are dirty players. lots of holding, grabbing..etc
2. the croatian coach is gay. when croatia scored a goal he'd jump onto some other dude and wrap his legs and arms around him
3. the umpiring was crap. aus should have had at least two more penalties. one for viduka being held and the other for another handball in the box.

Yep I second that - Argentina or Germany to win it all.... They are HOT right now. Plus its being held in Germany - if the germans dont win it, their countrymen will be p*ssed...
Brazil look average at the moment - Ronaldo has been eating too many cheese burgers, and the whole team looks a little sloppy...
I reckon they'll be knocked out in the quarters by Holland, Germany, or Argentina, or one of the other strong teams...
Oh, and if you watched the Aus v Croatia - there were heaps of times our guys were holding their players too - Chipperfield especially (he's getting old, so he's playing dirty now). I think the refereeing after about the 30th minute was fair - just look at the yellow card count - Croatia were getting drilled with them, compared to really only Emerton getting slapped with a card on our side...

he also let Simunic get 3 yellows before sending him with a red after the final whistle... and he blew the final whistle just as Cahill or Aloisi kicked the final goal to make Australia 3 - 2!
