ive just removed my sump from my engine and it was held on with a whitey coloured goo along with the bolts in the bottom of the block, just wondering what type of goo you guys have used/recommend to re seal it with...

CAT red is good

used to be called ultrablue, its now bluemax, made by loctite...

if loctite is makin it, it'll be good. ill probably get some of that

wheres that stuff available ?
prefer to use the same stuff as its worked well so far
yeah bluemaxx or blackmaxx depending on your colour preference
i usually use blue for all water pipes etc and black for oil stuff
but they are pretty much the same (bluemaxx is actually better, higher temp rating)
repco sell it, or go to coventrys
