Hows this one...
Just found a key in the house. We've been in this house for 5-6 years.
The key was in a room we use for storage, under the stairs. The room is small, with no obvious extensions to the room itself. It is on the bottom level of the house, which is 2 stories.
The key itself, is very large. One of those old style keys which is so old it is weathered/rusted. The key was hanging on a nail in the wall. Someone has gone to the trouble of putting the key there, its obviously been around for quite some time, many many years.
So after 5 years odd, we've found this key sitting there. The question is, what on earth could this key be for? This is a fairly old house... its not the sort of thing you'd find in a modern house... it could be as old as the house is. We've used some of the smaller cupboard/rooms for storage and not thought twice about it. But suddenly, we spot this key sitting there in the room.
Prior to this, i've encountered numerous re-curring dreams about finding another room under the house, in which I am unable to tell what is in them. The areas are large, and there is much space under it. I keep having these dreams, and now I find this key.
Now the external layout of the house suggests theres nowhere external the key could fit, unless its somewhere on another property. Unless, somewhere, internally, theres somewhere this key fits on the house. Buggered if I can find it, and buggered if I know where else it would be.
Everything happens for a reason, everything has its place. Why the hell is this key in my cupboard?
