A friend of mine is looking to buy a car from over east, does anyone know if this is a massive task getting the car registered in WA, going over the pits etc. I know it will depend on the cars condition, mods etc.

I would love to hear from anyone that has done this or knows a story from someone that has done it.

About to go through it. The car will need to go over the pits in wa, they will accept eng certs from other states though.

I can forward you the information I was given by wa licensing if you want.

yea i had this done
just take the car over the pits with the current eastern states plates, they will inspect it for the usual things.. get permits while your at it $30 or so for a list
u will get issued wa plates and then any balance on the eastern states rego you can get transferred to cover the $500 or so rego for wa rego so you dont have to pay the full amount
cheers

as long as its not too crazy it should pass fine.

If its off its nuts they may reffer u to tech section.
Get any permits or engineers certs that it has, and keep the vic or what ever plates on there so they know it was reg already
If its de reg they may give u a bit harder time
