G'day,
Has anyone had any experience with setting up carbies for a tunnelram, I have just bought a Cain tunnelram with twin 600 vac sec carbs for my VH 338. I doubt the vacume at that height is going to be condusive to effectivley opening two sets of secondary butterflies. I was thinking of setting up a manual linkage to the secondaries.... Anyone?
Graham
Get some mechanical secondry carbies..

Mech secondaries, bye bye fuel consumption, just fit your fuel tank over the tunnel ram and use gravity to feed it haha.
Alternately replace the two 600's with a 750 Annular Discharge Holley that has mechanical secondaries. (i dunno how much fuel u need, but most ppl that have 2 carbies have farrrrr too much). You can get 600's with mechanical secondaries i think, but they are hard to find. Its a long time since i was a trev. catcha

Yea not really fussed about fuel consumption.
So far i have stripped the choke and vac secondary diaphram from the 600 holleys and added a mechanical linkage to the secondary butterfly.
This turns the carbs into pretty much D/P mechanicals without the secondary accelerator pump and squirter.
I'm also in the process of upgrading the primary 30cc accelerator pump to a 50cc unit to try and remove the likley flatspot.
I'll let you know how it goes

Geez Graham, that looks damn tough!
Is your car running and on the road, or is it still in the build??

Still sorting out a few bits, mainly setting up the linkages for sideways mounted carbs.
As for 'on the road' it will probably not see much time on the road anymore......... cant see it.

twin 30cc accelorator pumps, ya dont recon the flatspot is from too much fuel?
let us know how the 50cc pumps affect it:lol:
