wow, heavy topic. yes i disagree with the oil grab, i mean war, however i think the forum your looking for is www.antiwar.com
Seriously woof, whether your opposed to war or not, what the hell is anyone going to do about it??
Nothing.
This is exactly why these things never change anything.
Do you think any self respecting community is going to take any notice of a bunch of hippies and wasters having a teary moment about how ****ty war and hidden oil agendas are?
No they aren't.
If you want to change the situation; get into politics and change it the proper way. Having protests, sit ins and insulting people who fought for your freedom and died for it is for slack ****s and idiots.

We have to help the USA , they are our allie's .
If we are ever under attack at least we will have backup from a BIG force and im sure we all would be happy if we came under attack US could help us.
I dont agree with the war in Iraq but we must help our allies
Allies are like a mate, we cant pick and choose when we will help them
i support whoever will get my the cheapest oil, and hence, fuel

I must admit that I do tire of seeing car forums constantly turning into left wing political soapboxes. It divides the community and ulimately, just like every other core belief, argument about it is generally pointless.

War is bad, but unfortunately a world without war is an impossible dream. Every life lost is a life wasted, but we must respect those who die fighting for what they believe in. The world sucks with war, murderers, child molesters, the list goes on. Its a fu(ked up place we live in but we must make the most of it and try to be good people. Respect yourself and those around you, thats all we can do really.

What a ****ing useless thread.
No **** hey...
Leave the political crap to political forums. Yes it off-topic, but its not a preferred topic for many people. It makes my head hurt, and I'd rather just think about how good my external gate is going to sound rather than how good or bad George Bush is.
If you wanna talk politics, go to totse.com forums and click on their political section.

a war should be started over the syntax and grammatical errors in that sentence.

As far as im concerned, we dont need allies nor a big air force or navy. We just need nukes.
Some other country tries to invade or cause ****. Nuke them, Simple. We mind out business, they mind there own. What right does any other country have in imposing there beliefs on another.
If a country is corrupt or has a dictator, dont go in forcing change. let the people there do it. if there too weak to cause an uprising, let them build one.
Same sort of scenario with iran. They want nuclear power plants, let them have them, with any luck there will be more oil for other nations to use, we will export urunium to them (which we have plenty of by the way!) become richer, less likely to be attacked too. Just think about it, if every country had nukes who would start a war? NO ONE!!!
Mutually Assured Destruction, you **** us! we **** You! Then comes the end of Mankind, which frankly i welcome as we are nothing but a disease on this planet.

I think woof's original post should be merged into that Emo thread...

see this is why i reckon democracy sucks, people with 0 IQ and EQ points get to vote, and their vote counts the same as yours and mine.
why should someone like woof get to vote and have his vote count the same as a doctor, or a lawyer? or someone with an MBA majoring in economic policy who will know EXACTLY how his/her vote will affect the greater good of society.
this is why democracy is a sham - people are given the same share because it is seen as being "fair" - newsflash, life isnt fair. Bob the Drug Dealer living in midland should not be made to vote on something he does not care about. Voting should be a privilege, not a requirement.

Not that I wanna buy into this thread too much, but dude that is why America is screwed up and George Bush remained president.

not really. check their economy, i get your point, there is no "right way" and basically, there is no utopian society.
however, i feel that the biggest shortfall in democracy is that everyone is given an equal vote - when everyone is not equal. buy into the thread, its not personal, no ones making it personal, nothing wrong with the free exchange of ideas.
i dont think voting should be "fair". my vote should count for more than some high school dropout with no concept of foreign economic policy and who has no reason for voting beyond "i have to"

Because he has to live in the same society as that doctor or lawyer. He has the right to voice his opinion just as much as any doctor or lawyer or economic policy major.

he has the right to voice his opinion, however i disagree that his vote should count as highly.

What a person does for a living should have **** all to do with how much pull their vote has.

useless is the wrong word.. Misplaced is possibly a better application.
This has been discussed at length on many avenues with everybody having a shot at it.

I thought I closed this already?
Why was it re-opened?
2 THINGS THAT SHOULD NOT BE DISCUSSED ON A CAR FORUM:
1. RELIGION
2. POLITICS
