you are lacking enough actaul detail about the problem you are having.

Explain the problem with as much detail as possible.

okay, did standstill, slipped clutch but didnt spin so i dumped it, everything was fine, smoke everywhere. no funny noises nothing. i got off the throttle, and then stopped the car, tried then to put it in gear but wouldnt go in any. clutch works cos its heavy as i said, and gear box isnt gone cos i drove her home. slave cylinder isnt cracked, i checked that...... i dont hav a clue

Howd u drive home if it wouldnt go into gear?

If it wouldn't go into gear with clutch engagement, did you just slam it into gear??

When you selected 1st gear, I'm guessing the stick went into place but when you released the clutch pedal nothing happened right?

If so its likely to still be the clutch, even if its heavy in the pedal, it doesn't nessecarily mean its engaging and disengaging.. Could be the clutch fingers knackered :(

no point guess boys until he gives us some usefull information other than "its broken"
at this point the most accurate diagnosis could be obtained from one of those magic 9 balls.

he apparently drove home so the clutch must be holding

If the pressure plate is ok but the fingers are buggered, he'd still be able to drive I think. Just no disengaging of the clutch

Lol true, I'm gonna ask the mirror on the wall :)

so far it sounds similar to what happened with shibbs old clutch after jason melted the clutch to the pressure plate (think thats what happened anyway)

sounds like you may have melted the clutch plate to the flywheel.
Ask cerbera he did the same sort of thing.

why on earth slip the clutch to do a skid. Dump always

not all drivers are created equally.

apparently with torquier engines you can put the car in gear and rev it with the cluth pressed down and it will unbind but being a rb20 thats not likely to work though.

sucks to have a torqueless RB20, just ask Cerbera about that one too :)

i drove it by turning car off, putting in first and starting car. then changing without clutch. i was trying to use clutch whilst driving but nothing... i slipped a little cos normally thats easier, just feals realy savage if i just dump it, plus i gotta dump at like 5 grand cos there aint much torque and O2 sensor being ****ed doesnt help that either

slip it and you end up having problems like you have no. Burnouts are never going to feel smooth and happy, but thats the price you pay!

i dont know wat else, cos i didnt hear anything and every thing felt fine at the time so i cant see wat i did wrong. something just gave in i guess. although i remember once a few weeks back doing a stand still and hitting 2nd gear and clutch stayed on the floor....? so it could b clutch... anyone else got some ideas?

Nemi

yeah you have fused your clutch to your flywheel.
you are going to have to take out the gearbox then the clutch to seperate it.

While you are doing it probably worth rebuilding the clutch and having your flywheel machined.

http://www.waperf.com/ can sort you

it could be the clutch fork, the slave piston pushes it...something like that...i fukt mine up doin a skid

definite fuse onto flywheel

I did exact;y same thing at a drift practise night.

Lemme guess on the way home you could sort of use the clutch? or you didnt bother about tryin

hey man

Thats what happened to my old car..

after someone stallin multiple times and one last hard take off, it would run, but wouldnt go in any gears, but clutch spring would work and all that.

The pressure plate was metled to the flywheel (i think thats right)

it could be the slave or master tho, just check both of them, and if not, it would be your clutch..
