Anyone here been? :)
Came accross the thought of going over there maybe sometimes in 2005. Whats the best time to go? What is there to see and do?
Its a fairly interesting place, but the main reason I'd want to go is to see the cars, workshops, maybe go when TAS is on. Actually what i'd really love to do is see is a real live drag event...
Problem is i've got no idea what Im doing, I can't read Jap for crap, and I speak little to none of the language. What would be the best bet? Going over with someone who knows the place and can get around?
And if I went, would I come back? :D

Japan is Excellent.
I was there in August of this year. It would of course be alot easier to goto Japan with someone who can speak the local lingo (Come on Mel... It can't be that hard to learn. hehehe).
The people are very very happy to help, well, to me I was surprised that they helped and respected as so much. Always letting Liz and I enter doors first.
Most people/places speak english or have english menus in regards to food, all McDonalds had an english menu and the staff spoke enough english to get by.
August was fairly hot.
Tokyo is huge and overwhelming, think of a city 5 times the size of Sydney, with cities the size of Sydney surrounding it, and dense industrial (drift sites) inbetween.
If you going over there for cars, I think you really need a translator or someone who knows how/where to go.
Great Place, considaring gojn g back next year for the Jap GP and maybe Sevens Day (Day for RX7's)...
Rick...7's Day..!!!!!!! Not GTR Day, but 7's Day!
