Guys,
I have leaking BOVs... leaking engine oil it seems.
Recently i've had all the engine oil seals replaced, and run 'more than stock' boost levels; only today did I notice it had leaked a small amount, so it just started.
I assume that im having blowby issues; the engine runs fine, no smoke or any other signs to suggest damage.
What causes blowby? What actually IS Blowby? Is an oil catchcan going to solve my issues?
Cheers
Rick

Removed some intake piping today.
Fair bit of oil in the intake after the stock airbox.. which is a bit strange.
Not too much oil in the other intake pipes before the plenum and after the turbos. Will have to remove the front bar and the intercooler piping and clean them out, as well as removing the cooler itself (I bet its got some oil in it!).
Then hopefully install the catchcan and all will be well :)

comp test it first
not uncommon for oil in 1st snail inlet to turbs its your happy method of sucking in crank case bypass

Compression is almost perfect in all cylinders
Cleaned out the inlet pipes from airbox
Next is the big job removing front bar and cooler cleaning that and replacing I'll do that next week.
Question is, where the hell do I fit a catchcan in the cramped engine bay of a 26?

some kits locate them down where i think your battery would be.
S14 Cusco kit puts it infront of the radiator i think.
There are many places.
P.S. You're a stooge for not believing me.
Banana Hammock.

Thanks champ ;)
Catchcan in place, no more oil coming out of BOVs... can't see the level on the catchcan so, if any, its very low.
