help: dvd unit

ok the dvd player is installed, can anyone tell me why the screen wont play the dvds, the screen is fine comes up with the normal menu but only plays the audio and stays in the actual systems menu and does not go to the dvd disks screen or video at all? and yes everything is connected up right i have checked.

someone sed sumething about setting the region code, which u need the remote for, and i dont have the remote at all. is this correct, sum1 please shed som light as to why the screen wont play the video.

what have you done with the brake wire? and what brand is it andwhere did you get it

if its hooked up to the hand brake, which is probably what the manual tells u to do, it wont play dvds unless the handbrake is on. cos its illegal to play them whilst the vehicle is being driven.

if this is the case.. hook it up to your acc wire :)

what type is it.... but yea the hand brake wire... i forget what i connected that too to make the screen work, but i dont hav to worry about that due to some **** stealing it
