Got a problem with the clutch on my 32gts-t

its partially engaged when car is stationary and clutch pedal is on the floor and car is in gear

makes selecting 1st an absoloute dog and reverse isnt much better(also makes shifting whilst thrashing difficult at times)

can anyone tell me if its my slave cylinder or master cylinder which is fcuked?

also how hard it is to fix/how expensive?

you're not getting enough lift you either need to adjust it at the pedal or if that can't fix it its going to be internal. You may have collapsed the fingers.

It could also be an air lock in the clutch line.

If you fill my car with petrol I'll bleed ya system and try adjusting the pedal :P

id suggest bleeding the clutch fluid
then adjust the pushrod thing above the pedal

dude, has your clutch got gradually worse or is it something that has just happened all of a sudden?

friction point has always been low maybe just a little lower now which is making the difference

mate has told me its more than likely the rod on the pedal(having had the same problem himself and fixed it in that way) so i'll adjust that when there is a night i think its cool enough to sit under a dash for a while

Probably we have with holdens quiet regualry is the input shaft getting dry making 1st and reverse hard to engage.

but as the others said, sounds like a fingered master of slave cyl. which i doubt bleeding would fix lol

well if its got worse over time, the clutch or the fingers themselves will be worn. if you adjust the clutch pedal out, where it attaches to the MC inside on the firewall, you should be able to get some of the clutch back, thats if the cluth isn't completly worn out.

if its just happened fairly recently, it will be the MC or the SC...

was told it was new when i purchased car but who trusts car yards
