okay there was 1 try a piece only 1 field goal seperated both teams, now one player can't win you a match, what about when it comes to defending johnny ain't kicking filed goals in defence he is at the heart getting in there tackling as hard as anyone else, i am sick of hearing this one man team crap, if we are a one man team don't you feel a little sour at getting beaten by one man!!! the players around him make the team successful and it was a hard earnt victory, i have no doubt that australia are the greatest sporting nation but can't you hack defeat once in a lifetime, as soon as England where winning ever aussies attitude changed saying they didn't care who won. Look at john Howard he couldn;t even put a smile on his face when hading out the medals and the cup and i think that is discraceful. It would be a totally differnet story if wilkinson was australian...

I am an Australian, i give no fark for Rugby, so dont put me into this group please.
There will always be people whose attitude suddenly changes once a game is won or lost, but who cares, they will always exist and there is nothing you can do about it.

It was a very good game, but I must say I'm very disappointed that England can't seem to get a grip of the whole "running game" concept. They may as well have been playing soccer.

Either way, it was still an exciting final.


And at least we managed to clean-sweep the poms in the Rugby League :D

Well congrats to the poms I say. The first international cup victory in 37 years (66 World Cup's 3-1 victory over Z Germans was the last time).

Pity that we lost but remember we have continually beaten England in cricket, tennis, netball, rugby league, swimming, SOCCER, lawn bowls, cycling, atheletics and basketball.

Now England have rugby union and darts to their list of achievements. :D

P.S. I'm half pom but always back the green and gold.
