.PHP File Help!

Hey all,

I am building a site for one of the forums in Perth.
I wanted to know what file I hyperlink to gain access to the forums.
I would have guessed if I was linking to the forums it would be a index.php file, but when I open that in dreamweaver its just a blank page, but there is (I am guessing that its CGI script) in the coding...

anyone know anything on the subject?

also wanted to find out, I have a template ready for a new face for the forums but not sure which files to over write. I copyied and pasted it into the templates folder on the server but the layout of the site stayed the same. any ideas on that?

Not sure if you can open that index.php file in dreamweaver, but if you point to the index.php file with your browser, it'll be the forum front page.

Now for the templates, I'm assuming your using phpBB.

You need to upload the entire template folder to the templates directory in your main phpBB folder.

Then you go to the admin control panel, and on the left hand side there should be an option called "Add", under Styles Admin.

You click on that, and you should be able to see your template. Then you click INSTALL which is next to the name of your template.

Give that a shot and see how you go :)
