Best 55-60" tv under 1k Nov 2019

I've finally decided to replace my Kevin Rudd stimulus era 40" 720p Panasonic plasma.
What would you buy and why?

I've got a Chromecast ultra / xbox and media pc so I can live without smarts

Happy to purchase a soundbar

Like watching sport and playing games if that affects it.

Mines plugged into a soundbar - imho all the tv's sound junk until your spending big bucks.

Probably all bought ours when they were doing their decent specials bit over a year ago. I've also got the 65" N7 haha. Only gripe I have is that I should have gone for the 75"

They are fucking junk - so many returns and dead out of the box on those.

Picked up a p7 on clearance for $750

As far as I can tell less smart but 200hz vs 100hz

I could see the difference in store. Raced home with it on roof racks between downpours. "no warranty if it gets wet mate"

4k test video running at the moment. Mind blown.

Looking at getting a 65" during Xmas sales and not sure what to buy for minimal bucks
Actually for daughter and grandson but might upgrade myself from the 50" while I'm there
Can't have anything with a dedicated youtube button on the remote... like all the Kogans.
Daughter won't let grandson use it (he's 4)

My sony did everything they are raving about 3+ years ago.
Sure it was more expensive but 3 years is an eternity for TV tech.

TCL do a good TV for the money also - similar specs to a Hisense. Won't go wrong on that one linked. Most of the TV's will have a dedicated youtube or netflix button.
