Naval Base Beach Shacks & the Outer Harbour Development

Got a family member really keen to 'buy' a Naval Base Beach Shack - the Shire of Cockburn is saying the private leases are fine until 2022, but wont guarantee they will renew the leases after that.

Anyone know anything about these shacks? Extremely bad idea to drop $50 grand plus on one when the future is not certain?

The Outer harbour development is 20 years away surely?

When it gets built is anyone's guess, It is a political hot Jewson at the moment.

I can't wait until infrastructure decisions are removed from politics and politicians can only say"I will spend $XXBN on infrastructure this year" and a board of engineers, town planners etc decide where that money goes.
