I have recently become a daily freeway user - cannot deal so have started a petition.

https://www.change.org/p/hon-michelle-roberts-mla-fine-drivers-in-wa-for-not-keeping-left?recruiter=62827455&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=share_for_starters_page

Please sign and share if also frustrated by right lane drivers.

I do not comprehend how people think the best solution to a situation is to impose a tax.

The obvious solution here is to put a tracker on both yourself and every form of transport you undertake and for you to be fined for each and every indiscretion.

<Insert something witty here>

The thing is. These freeways and roads are multi-lane because a single lane road CANNOT handle the traffic volume. They are not multi-lane so every one can use the left lane, except when doing a passing manouvere as it seams you are implying.

I do not see any problems with people using all lanes (including the right) at times when the traffic flow is such that using all lanes is required. It is however quite annoying when people camp in the right lane at times when it is not nessisary. (Like when your in a rush, and simply dont want some dickhead infont of you.) Espescially if they want to sit on the speed limit (as displayed on thier speedometer, not actual vehicle speed.)

Driving on the roads is frustrating. We all know that. But the last thing anyone should be doing is calling for more fines or more regulation. As all that does is fuck things up worse than they were. It will cost people un-nessisary money, and will not actually fix anything. And it takes resources away from real crime investigation/prevention. More fines and more limits is never a good thing.

Been driving freeway for the last 2 years 6 days a week from Parmelia to Welshpool it has occurred to both my wife and I in the last 8 months it has gotten worse I'm not sure what has changed but people are just retarded,
its pretty simple if there is a faster car approaching you move left to let them through if the lane is clear after that move back if you must (even tho usually its not needed)
I'm not sure why people think its their god given right to govern the traffic flow in the right hand lane by doing 97km/h because they don't want to get a ticket...

NEWS FLASH you wont get a ticket if you do 100km/h either
but you will for being a muppet and sitting in the right hand lane...

When I can over take you in the LH lane in a N/A Diesel patrol and not break the speed limit you need to have a good hard look at yourself in the mirror :mad:

I just sit on the horn until they move.

Need to print a A0 piece of paper with KEEP LEFT on it to carry on the backseat I think.

I think most people are doing 100kmh as per their speedometer. It's just most car makers now take the side of caution and calibrate their speedo to read faster than actual.

My Navarra would show 100kmh on the speedo but GPS would show 93. OBDII plug in would show 91

From memory the ADR's say speedo calibration can be between 0 and +5%
So 100km/h actual speed can read between 100-105km/h, in complete stock trim

With 315's on my Landcruiser, speedo reads -11% i.e. with speedo reading 100km/h my actual speed is 111km/h

That's one of the main problems, they don't look in the mirror at all and are completely oblivious to frustration they are causing.
Some of them don't even look over when you do pass them on the left. And i always check to see because i'll give them a fierce stare on my way past.
They're either completely ignorant of their actions or just that deep in their own world of fuckstainery that they don't even notice a moving object in their peripheral vision.

It's actually 4% for over and 14% for under.

So car speedo can show 100 but you are doing 104. Can show 100 but you are doing 86.

Just annoying as my Navarra would do 8lt to a 100 on a speedo reading but 16 on GPS reading.

I reckon Nissan did it to trick people into good fuel economy. The poor old diesel was working hard at gps 110 on long runs.

The production shall be deemed to conform to this Regulation if the following
relationship between the speed indicated on the display of the speedometer (V1) and the
actual speed (V2) is observed:

In the case of vehicles of categories M and N:
0 ≤ (V1 – V2) ≤ 0.1 V2 + 6 km/h;

Yep that's instruments which form a part of the Speedometer. The reading there is what the ECU must read. ADR18/00 is specific to what you rely on for speed.

Now go to ADR 18/00 which is what you must see on the dash. 18/03 is what the computer must see. You have to read and join all aspects of adr as one written document is my understanding. .

RACQ already know about driver in a 100 doing 86.

I've got a 2018 Triton as a work car.
The dash reads 8km/h faster than the GPS speedo on my phone, and i've rang a work mate who was driving behind me one day to ask what his speedo was reading.

When i first got it, it took my a few moments to figure out why every driver in Perth decide to move along that day.
