I’m pissed, need bullet points on unregoed boat and trailer deceased estate.

As title suggests, I’m out and pissed and have been passed on some details re a boat and trailer that tick the boxes of what I’m chasing.

I’m guessing the process is the same as a car so hit me up with some pros and cons and how hard it can be.

If is not too hard, the deal looks good but on the same note happy to go the easier route.

Have sent text and organised a look tomorrow and have had half arsed look at documents on the government website but got evil eye from the missus..

As long as probate has been granted & you’re dealing with the executor or administrator of the estate, shouldn’t be a problem

So old mate selling should have documents stating he’s the executor / administrator of the estate handy?

If they aren't the administrator of the estate, then they might be trying to sell it to spite a sibling etc. Then it'll get legally messy.
I'm not sure they'll have a certificate saying they are the executor, but I'd confirm that before parting with any cash or you may get caught up in some legal red tape.

Also the obvious finance checks on it etc. Moving permit for the unrego'd trailer if you do buy it.

If they are executor, they will have paperwork saying Probate has been granted.
Need to site previous licence if possible.
If not get signed stat dec

TJ, boat is in Warnbro so fair chance deceased estate is from Meth dealings gone wrong, will proceed with caution!
