Anyone a specialist in this sort of thing?
Looking at the possibility of installing a system in the building where I volunteer and I am looking at advice and or ideas and a general sort of Idea of cost on 2 doors. 1 electronic roller door and one solid core wood door thats currently deadbolted etc.

Fire station?
You're better off going a PIN pad for each door. I know a couple of BFB stations in the Wheatbelt went RFID entry and were constantly replacing key fobs because people keep losing them. Much harder to lose a PIN number!
We had a PIN pad on standard door entry (enter PIN and turn lock manually) at Wyalkatchem VFRS. It needed constant maintenance, so an electric lock for wood door would've been better.

Talk to Tim Kershaw at Ventech Security. He's our resident wizard at this kinda stuff.

roughly will cost 2k per door minimum for door controller, strike, install etc. plus swipes that will get lost, burnt (fire station) wet and fucked
As noted - Can do a pin code on the roller door very easily and replace the current lock with a coded one

Sorry forgot to reply to this, current roller door is pin coded so that's not a huge issue.
It's mainly the personal access door, we have all been issued with ID cards that have RFID built in which us why I was assessing that option as it obviously gives us the chance to monitor and deny access too without the administration task of changed locks, codes etc etc.
One pin that everyone knows kinda defeats the purpose of the whole process so im not sure what the answer is as all the mechanical/electrical locks dont seem to store many pins to control access

Samsung offer smart door locks that allow 70+ users.

when i was a teenager i installed a keypad on my mums front door, that was a cheapy $40 and supported 30+ users.
you would want one that can be centrally managed? most of the cheaper systems are standalone and you need to stand at the keypad to add and remove users.
