Guys,

Building a evo x for tarmac rally / rallysprint duties. In my other one i put the traditional push pull aeronautical style circut breakers in. Work fine but a bit old school and thought it would see what else is out there.

The car runs the motec pnp ecu and diff controller.

Rather than the traditional circut breakers i was wondering if anyone has tried the motec pdm and the switch panel? SHOULD work in with the CAN needs of the car.

Off the top of my head i would be looking to wire in...

Anti lag
Launch control
Heated screen left
Heated screen right
Monit
Intercom
Camera
Diff setting
Horn

Im sure i have forgotten some as I think i have more than that at the moment

Has anyone used them?
Easy to wire in?
Good thing?

Best place to buy from?

Thanks

Brendon

I have a PDM 30 and a 8 key switch pad collecting dust and waiting to go in to my 31. Best place to buy from is direct from Glen at Auto Sport Electronics.

The PDM and switch combo seem to have every and any function you could ever want or need and is fairly easy to program. I can't comment on terms in how hard it is to wire as Glen will be doing mine.

Only downside is it is a massive cost for the PDM, it might not be that efficient for you. Awesome piece of kit but, the switch panel also acts as an electronic fuse box as well.

Lots of guys are running these type setups in Streetcars now, look at RaceGts (Shaun) build,

If your budget allows, definitely go with a PDM setup. No fuses, no relays, way way less wiring between the switch panel. (CAN wires VS individual wires for each switch to each relay/circuit you want to control.) And thats before even getting started on all the fancy control/monitoring features to be setup within the PDM.
