Did two passes at the plex. Loaded up fuel pressure to 97 psi. 450m 1st pass. . No miss.
2 pass increased throttle response and shift speed. Somehow missed 2nd. Went to third. 450m pass. No miss.

Roll on track day.

yeah. i need to unlock ecu and then re-tune it first. idles high (has it's own cruise control) and can feel it has a slight miss/lean on light throttle.

i will probably fuck it off with a stock motor in a couple of months or maybe even before. Then i'll strip motor down to set it up for some boost goodness.

Awesome, cheers boys. 26 entrants so far, which is great as we usually get 5 or so on the day as well. ~40 or so is ideal for these events, provides a good atmosphere and entertainment, but everyone gets near unlimited track time. Keep the entries coming :)

We also have 3 people coming down who are just coming to do skids in the burnout pad. Just so everyone knows, we can let people use the pad for $50 which covers the insurance costs.

Yes, how many do you want to do?

I wish. Some track where an ambo is going to take forever because not 4x4. Helicopter too long as someone would have to get to a highway or somewhere to fall someone.

I figured it was easier to ride another guys DR 400 to the hospital :)

Good segway Jarrod. Just a reminder for all passengers coming down, wristbands are $30 for the day and you will need to have all the same safety equipment as the drivers.

Spectators are free.

There's 36 entrants paid and entered so far, with another ~10 or so earmarked to enter on the day. Should be an awesome day all round as the atmosphere and track time is about perfect with this size of group.

Can't wait!

How did that plan work out?

A big thanks to all who are a part of the administration team. Well done for another great event.
I certainly enjoyed my myself. Car behaved flawlessly.

Best time on the lap timer was 53.94. Worst was 58.26.

Car needs better suspension as it's hopping on some corners and skipping out on the way out - time to mod that. Brakes non-issue. I think the car is at its threshold in handling and on one particular lap probably the driver.

The best fun in the car.
Also good to put some more names to faces.

What a awesome day and turnout! Such a great mixture of cars.

Fastest I managed was a 54.87 but only timed a few sessions. Definitely have room for improvement as front tyres are shot and understeered like a bitch haha

Thanks to everyone involved today to make it such a well runned event especially considering the 50+ cars there!

Awesome day, weather was on-point. Massive thanks to Paul, Erin, the flaggies, and all the others that helped out.

Brilliant format and even with 40-50 odd cars, still managed to get 25+ fast laps in.

Managed to turn out a 57.71 in the Fiesta which I was pretty happy with given it's the first track day for the car and also my first time down at Collie (it's a brilliant little track btw). Definitely a couple of seconds to be found with a set of coilovers and LSD (and my driving).

Highlight was the neck-to-neck battle with Ollie in the JCW Mini at the end, that was probably some of the best fun I've had at a track day. Looking forward to the next one!

Great to hear everyone had a good time! Was pretty full-on trying to manage 58 cars, however we got through the sessions pretty quickly which meant most people were able to get at least 3-4 sessions in before lunch time.

Really cool to see these events being highly supported now. Was a tough slog for a while there but now we are getting consistent 40+ cars per event we can start to look at consistently doing 4-5 events per year.

Another awesome event guys!! I managed a 52.2 which i am pretty happy with for an old rear leaf spring banger

I have a suggestion however:
Considering the amount of people that put their hands up at "never driven on this track before" Maybe send them out for the sighting lap as usual then suggest they jump in passenger seats with guys in the Left lane first.
that way they get to see the track at speed and can get some pointers before heading out in their own cars.

Just a thought.

I will try post a couple of my "hotlap" vids in here

That's a pretty good idea! Would happily suggest that in the next drivers briefing and maybe we can start with the middle or fast lanes first so those guys get an idea of what the track should feel like.

Car performed well. No idea how long that will last.
The spin out was awesome... I knew I was close on each lap where the tyres were squalling more and more and I thought.... it's got to let go on this lap for sure.
The when it did I thought fuck I am carrying some speed, that wall is close so I hooked the wheel right hard to wash off as much speed as possible
(I think Garry counted 2 and a half spins) then I was smashing it down gears (Sequential Box) picked first and smashed out a half doughnut
out of the gravel (light throttle so I don't get bogged) - got past Garry's corner - got the thumbs up and away I went for another lap. At that point
I thought "where is everyone" ?

The best fun!
