The show now is probably catering a bit more towards the Americans in their "humour".. the nascar driver was a bit shit as was the celebrity segment.

The P1 losing explains why Jezzas house got blown up though.

In TGT test, they all wore the same make / brand of tyre to make it "fair". Jeremy touches on this at the end that the P1 "would have won if it had its tyres on". With the Chris Harris test, the P1 wore it's special tyres.

LOL at the LeFerrari having to be trucked everywhere so it was not "second hand"....

Chris Harris beat the 918 & LaF on the standard P Zeros, then hosed them on the Trofeo R's.

LaF's can also run in full electric mode...

Minor things but you'd hope they'd be accurate with it all.

feel the same, I like seeing cars getting reviewed and thrashed but this was pretty average. You'd think after all this time together theyd be talking less scripted, it was like they were looking at cue cards the majority of the time to know what to say

Enjoyed it. Had a few laughs. Not really looking for ground breaking new format tbh, I'm happy to tune in each week for a bit of banter, a new car getting reveiwed/thrashed and the odd challenge (always good for lols and simply epic footage of great cars).

GT delivered that.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. Very similar to the old top gear which I'm not complaining about. Few wtf moments like the death of the celebrities and the American NASCAR driver.
All in all, there were good cars, good banter, good laughs, minimal boring bits, I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Quietly pissed at the outcome of the timed laps, not as thorough as Chris Harris.
I get the P1 was struggling for grip but letting it bake around a corner and go wide into the gravel and counting it as the timed lap? (maybe it wasn't the footage of the actual lap)
Lap times were also a lot closer bunched than Harris at the same track.

Great cars but they have the sandiest vag's out over at ferrari, let people test them. I think if you want a ferrari its because you want one and vice versa for other manufacturers. Buyers couldn't care less if the 488 is faster or slower than the rival mclaren 675 or lamborghini huracan, they want the name and image

Couldn't be happier with the outcome of TGT. Yeh, celebrity deaths was shit as was the NASCAR driver, but there were always shit parts of Top Gear. The majority of the show was awesome and I loved it. Intro, banter, feature, all excellent.

If you didn't like old Top Gear than you probably won't like this, but myself and the missus absolutely loved it.

I wasnt a huge top gear fan but thought i better watch it to check it out. All in all not too bad. The thing that annoyed me is all the stupid cinematography bullshit and added sound effects they use when they are doing the supercar test. Fuck all that off and let the cars do the soundtrack.
And i still want to punch Hammond in the face for some reason.

People are getting genuiney butthurt over people not loving the new show, you could put the 3 guys on a stage talking shit for 45 minutes, show a car going sideways and people will call it quality viewing simply because they love the trio, flogged out format and all.

I don't want to judge too early after seeing one episode but it all seemed overly scripted. everything is on que. needs to be more natural

Really if you just want cars and no cocking about then you watch Chris Harris on Cars vid's. His long format reviews are as good as it gets for pure car vids.

TG / GTG is just as much about fucking around as it is cars if not more so.
