Picking up a new daily pretty soon, and am wanting to get an alarm/immobiliser installed pretty quick, along with GPS tracking. Maybe central locking to keep the wife happy. It currently has the old touch key immobiliser in it, but I want something that will make some noise should someone try and pinch it. Flame throwers would also be a consideration.

What do people use these days? It's been years since I have thought about getting an alarm or anything installed.

Also, who's the guys to talk to these days? The car in question is 40 years old & in mint condition (Will post a thread up once I pick it up) so I want someone that will take good care of it.

There's a friend near me that does work on older cars his name is Brian and his company is called Big Brother Security in Belmont. I've seen him use a hidden capacitor to interrupt the spark to the plugs to add an extra layer of protection from starting an older car without an ecu. He is really good with things like that. He also gets all the brand new cars from the dealerships to install alarms on so he is versed in almost everything.

They were in Malaga when I used them. Fantastic service. They fitted pin code and immobiliser for me, I still want to get GPS tracking which is something they also do.

Been using this company for about 20 years. Always comes with the goods and I've never had a bad install.

When i had my SLR 5000 he even wired the alarm to my fuel pump so when I turn alarm off pump wa primed and good to go.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Seems pretty neat, not sure how long the battery lasts but for the price it is pretty cheap considering other systems around the place requiring sim cards etc.

Edit: Seems useless, 30m range to bluetooth device. Skip it.
