To celebrate how West Australian we all are, apparently there is a long weekend in the offing. Seems a pity to waste it, so I'd say get your ass to Mars (Albany).
Sat - Two hillclimbs happening, plus motorkhana (try take all that lot in!).
Sun - Albany Classic - old beards running around the centre of town. Not a race, but tell that to the concrete barriers each year!
Mon - Sprint event, industrial area style.
I'm on for Sun & Mon. Some may be hard enough for all three days...

Only Windfarm for me, SRT is too skechy in my car
Looking forward to getting drunk at the pub for the around the houses on Sunday, also will be good to see 2 GT40s running around but hazard a guess you are slightly quicker than Dave?

Leaving my car next to Daves's in his monster shed. Sort of a homecoming as that's where it was built. Could be a bit of sabotage...or midnight parts swapping!
His car is a monster. 414 donk, 6 speed trans, RF race chassis with all sorts of extra braces and some funky suspension, magnesium rear uprights etc. Still many events required to sort it out, so I'll claim a win while I can.
Anyways, not like we can sort it out on the track without someone getting banned!
If he still has it come racewars (the sequel) then will see what it can do.

Ahh yes the Albany Industrial Area Yolo Special Stage also known as the SRT Sprint...
All things going well it appears we should be running this over the RW weekend as well as the usual airport three ringed circus... The Mowerman & Co have been immensely helpful with everything so far. Great guys and genuinely passionate about motorsport.
I'm proper keen for it !

Had a good blast around city centre yesterday. Great weather and huge turnout of cars and people as always.
Had some good dices with 911 and toranas. Last couple of events the grid positions were random, so just lined up next to dirty Dave and his green GT40. Had a couple of drags all the way up the back straight. Turns out 347 = 414 cubes in 3rd gear at least. Got wheelspun in 4th over the roundabout when I gave it a go. Interesting...
The lightweight E type build that has been posted here was running. And pushing along well enough too. Great to see.
Off to SRT sprint now.

Bit of a mash up video of the two wannabe GT40's playing late in the day for the Albany Classic. Video from in my car has a bit of sound/video sync issue happening. Not sure how to fix yet, but you get the idea anyway. May post up a video from earlier in the day when I had some clear road and could get on it a bit more, or at least as fast as I was allowed to go.

I haven't even got mine out of the trailer yet, hopefully the car fixing fairies are fixing it each night for me

Yep, same. Too cold and too smashed last night to look at mine. Got a bit of polishing to do in order to remove the coneage incident from Monday sprint too. Time to put the "that will buff out" theory to the test.

I don't think mine will buff out,
I noticed a few other little bits when we put into my trailer, my first assessment of the damage was when it was on a mates Tilta trailers that we used to get it off the course

Video from earlier in the day, chasing John's very quick 911. We both had the same nominate lap time, so leapfrogged a couple of times until we hit traffic, then it was a matter of going hard whenever there was clear track to try get back to the lap time. In any case, lots of fun!
