Would an engine run ok with bigger injectors without a tune? For example if I was to swap out the injectors in my ute for bigger ones would it run fine enough to drive to workshop for dynotune the following day?

Or is independence, flow rates and all that jazz out of whack it will just flood and run like a pig?

How big of change in injector size ?

What engine ?

Generally will run like a pig and foul plugs....

Most would do a quick injector size trim in the ecu and drive fine to get tuned.

Yeah in the FG, oh well guess I'll just pay to have the lot done at once then

Going to 1000cc injectors? Stock are around 330cc so well outside what the +/- 25pc the fuel trims can handle.

Can't put the injectors in at home and trailer it in?

Yeah bumping up to 1000 is the plan.

Yeah can fit injectors at home that's no drama and I have access to a car trailer so it's not that a big a problem really. Was just wondering if it was possible as a lot less messing about being able to drive car.

All good question has been answered

Back in the day I changed my old s13 injectors for s15 ones, so going from 370 to 440 & drive it to the tuners.
Even idling in the driveway you could tell it was running quite rich.

If you can maybe get the ecu mapped adjusted pre tune, just so you can start the car and test it for leaks.

recently dropped some 1000'cc in and adjusted the Nistune and tested the car.
Glad i did cause one of the dam injector seals was seeping and i couldn't see it when i had just primed the rail.
So all new seals and it was good to roll onto a tune.
