Feels like ive been fucked by RAC, thought id get a second opinion..

3 weeks ago car was obviously having issues with the battery then one morning wouldnt start at all, RAC come out and jump the car but says he cant change the battery because the reading basically didnt allow him too (said the battery was still good) missus rung me at the time and i said just try and get it changed anyway its clearly fucked, anyway he refused to.

For last 2 weeks its been playing up again and yesterday finally died, RAC come out and charged for a new battery because the old one is 2 weeks out of warranty... WTF

Somethings fucked about that

Wife works at RAC,not motoring side though. Doesn't believe drivers have access to history of purchases and call outs etc in their cars. Is not likely they were trying to get you by until warranty period was up. Reckons just ring them up and explain situation, they will have records in call centre of when you first rang which is obviously related, so should be able to do something that way

What car is it for?

Falcon: SuperCharge MF50 http://www.supercharge.com.au/western-australia/supercharge-batteries-perth
or Delkor 22EFR-680 from Challenge Batteries in Osborne Park

Other cars: Get the most CCA and RC that you can for the money.

I have been told all Repco branded batteries are basically RAC batteries these days. Not sure if I should stop buying them. Bravo is due a new one but RAC 20% discount at Repco this month haha
