Have a 95 wrx with a misfire when coming on boost. Have changed plugs, replaced O2 sensor, cleaned AFM, cleaned throttlebody, reset ecu and checked for CEL codes with no luck thus far...
Car has a Coil On Plug setup which I believe is from a later model wrx if I'm not mistaken? What year did the COP setup start and how do I identify which coils I have so that I can replace them to rule them out?
Will post skid vids if someone can help me fix the POS

Nock sensor can cause this as well iirc

Misfire under load will be 90% likely ignition issue.

89-97 WRX had coil on plug..... 2 wire, if it has late model coils it will have 3 wire with the plug on the coil... depends on which you have as too what you need to borrow/swap to find bad coil.

LS conversion should do the trick.

not only that but when injectors start to clog up they will cause a miss fire coming onto boost and a slight splutter when you take off

Have spare LS in the shed, Huggy... Could be a goer! Haha

also check the fuel pressure - clamp off the return line in the engine bay and see if it still does it. The fuel pumps tend to die

My 95 did the same thing, was knock sensor.

Sounds like a big end, excuse to build a wild 207.

Lol
Wouldn't knock sensor failure throw a CEL code?
