Im seriously looking at off loading one or two of my cars and throwing some cash as a large capacity blown LSX for my VF ute.
Does anyone know what the largest cubic inch, and deck height that I could squeeze in without cutting bonnet?

Don't know but 700 might be just a bit bigger than I was thinking lol. Close to 500 might be good if it isnt too stupidly priced

the iron block LSX454's are pretty good bit of kit... that's a shit load of cubes for a small block. That'd be more than enough for a VF ute... so throwing a blower on would be more than more than enough ;)
Example : http://www.jegs.com/p/Chevrolet-Performance/Chevrolet-Performance-LSX454-454ci-620HP-Engine/2675108/10002/-1
Could probably get that in Australia too... for $317656378569125

Built by sonnys in the states. I got the impression that kind of engine was custom. Like custom block etc.
Perhaps you could try the turbo route and use e85 on what you have?

Steve Loader runs a 500 odd cuber in his vf.

I don't know what the blocks are like these days but to run any decent boost a few years ago most wouldn't go past 402. Times may have (probably have) changed though. John from Street Quick Performance would be a good guy to talk to, he's built many-a-big-motor for boost. Actives also do a lot of big cubed boosted motors.

Haa haa Ev not a problem.
I will be talking to John as he will be building it.
Just seeing what is out there and then sort it and get John to price up.
Will have to go to a 4sp auto as well I'd expect.
Wont go e85 too hard on the country

Gups is a 727 cube , biggest street engine Sonnys make , massive undertaking to make it fit but the whole car is for sale would be easier to just buy that lol
