Hey guys,

I have 7 TVs in 7 rooms that I want to display the same picture. As in plug a source in somewhere and have the video/picture/audio the same in each room. Ideally I want to cable it in RG6 quad shield as I have km of the shit. Also want to have free to air on each TV too. I have been told about RF modulators and needing an amp to run it all. I can do FTA no problem, just this multi display I've never done before.

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers
Tom

8 way hdmi splitter is the only thing i can think of as you only have 1x RG6 input (FTA)

Side note. got any RG6 you want to offload. i need a few more tv points in my house

doing it HDMI is just as expensive as a 1 channel RF modulator. This way it all runs over the PAL (rg6) cable. Pretty much reverse a 2 way splitter and send the modulator signal and FTA signal backwards through the splinter into 1 cable. Digital tuner will pick up the extra RF channel.

But customer has canned it anyway. If anyone wants it done, I now know how to do it haha.

Neg on the RG6, I use it all the time.

2LMILK - I have about 250M of RG6 still on a roll if you need some.

Its expensive, Easiest way really is a proper network transmitter/receiver setup..

http://www.altronics.com.au/p/a3140-hdmi-over-ethernet-balun-extension-transmitter/ 1 of these and a gigabit switch

Any any number of these that you require.

As said its no cheap but if you are wanting to transmit 1080p or the like is the best way.

Yeah those tx rx are about $270ea and I'd need 5 of them. Could run it over cat6 but then need to convert to hdmi which is about the same. The rf modulator setup was around $1350.
