Venison hookups

Keen to do a smoked venison after talking to some of the boys at work. Enquired at a local butcher and said it goes for $95/kg. Any one know where to get some that's reasonably priced, or is the current market price close to $100?

All Fred wanted was advice on some cheap meat.... Good ol AL to the rescue.

On a serious note. If you have yard space you can build your own smoker. Simple tondo and you only need as much room as a laundry cupboard.

Hang what ever you want and just let the fire smoulder away.... A week later you will have some delicious meat.
